Students' stories

Sophia

beginner photographer

“The course gave me much more than I expected: knowledge, experience, a community, and the confidence that everything will work out.”

Sofia Before the Course

Several years ago, she moved to Spain and started looking for something she would truly enjoy. That’s how photography came into her life. At first, there were concert shoots, events, engagements, and personal photo sessions, but it quickly became clear: without a strong foundation, it’s hard to keep growing. In practice, there were always gaps. Before the course, she also had a negative experience: one-on-one consultations with photographers that were expensive but offered almost no real benefit or support after the calls. The training took place in a group led by Sasha, the curator. Despite her fear that she wouldn’t have enough time or motivation to balance the course with university and work, everything turned out the opposite — thanks to the group’s support, she wanted to do even more. The atmosphere was so warm that the women still keep in touch even after the course ended. The homework assignments made the strongest impression: it was thanks to them that theory immediately turned into real skills.

Sophia after the course

I started earning money from photography and saw real money in this field

I started working with the team and became more deeply involved in networking.

Got a handle on advertising, promotion, and communication with clients

In 3 months, I got more than in an entire year of trying on my own.

Umutai

experienced photographer

“The course was very intense, but in the end I realized it was the best experience. It was the hands-on practice that helped me grow and build a strong portfolio.”

Get lost before the course

Umutai was already working as a photographer, but felt that she lacked a solid foundation and confidence. There were gaps in her camera settings knowledge, and she didn’t fully understand how to grow and improve her work. Because of this, she undercharged for her services and doubted the quality of her shoots. She also wanted to learn studio photography and get a fresh perspective on her work. Umutai had taken other courses before where they only provided videos without any structure, so the information was difficult to apply. She worried that this training might also not offer anything new or build her confidence. She wanted to find a comprehensive course with practice and a clear system. On the course, Umutai studied in a group I mentored. She was especially motivated by the graded homework system — it created excitement and made her want to do everything better. The intensity of the course was not easy for her, but it was exactly what led to significant growth.

Get out after the course

Mastered studio photography and started taking orders

I became more confident in the quality of my work, doubled my prices, and created service packages

Found a team (makeup artist, stylist)

Created my own website

Polina

beginner photographer

“After the training, I understood how and where to move forward. My eyes lit up because I saw that it can be done and that it is possible.”

Polina Before the Course

Photography had always been something I wanted to pursue, but I was missing that decisive first step. I was afraid to begin, and afraid it might not work out. I didn’t have a clear understanding of how to build the path: where to start, how to grow, and how to turn it into income. The training took place in a group, with me guiding the process. What Polina especially highlights is that all the information was explained in plain language — simply and clearly. Every explanation was immediately followed by an example, which made it much easier to understand. There was also a huge amount of material that you could come back to again and again. Practical homework with a breakdown of specific mistakes is one of the strongest parts of the course.

POLINA AFTER THE COURSE

There is now a clear understanding of where to go next

I got all the basics (and more) to start making money with photography

I figured out how to work with the team, where to find clients, and how to promote myself

Confidence and strong motivation appeared

Sveta

beginner photographer

“I’ve learned that I now know how to position a model effectively in the frame, and I’ve developed a color style and direction for my photos.”

SVETA BEFORE THE COURSE

Sveta moved from Kazakhstan to Prague, where she studies and continues to develop her love of photography. She has been photographing everything around her since childhood and worked as a model for some time. She came to the course to understand camera settings and learn how to create beautiful, delicate photos of women. She also wanted to bring her love of bright clothing and fashion looks into her shoots. Before starting, she was afraid she would give up the training and never learn how to see the shot. Before that, Sveta had never dared to reach out to anyone, so the course became her first and most successful experience.

Sveta after the course

Figured out the camera settings

Learned to work in Lightroom and Photoshop

Acquired knowledge in communicating with customers

Found like-minded friends

Albina

beginner photographer

“It was a very valuable experience for me. I learned even more than I expected — and it gave me confidence and ease in my work.”

Albina before the course

Photography had long been a hobby for her, but inspired by a photographer friend, she began thinking about developing in this direction more seriously. She lacked knowledge and confidence: she wanted to understand camera settings, lighting, composition, and editing. She was afraid she wouldn’t be able to keep up with the training, especially while balancing it with a full-time job. Albina found the course clear and well structured, with lots of practice, which helped her not just listen to the theory but immediately reinforce the knowledge. The support from the mentor was also very helpful: at any time, she could ask a question and get help.

Albina after the course

I became much more confident in myself as a photographer and gained an understanding of how to continue developing.

Started working with models and stylists

I learned the basics of marketing and client communication

Improved technical skills and processing

Sveta

beginner photographer

“The training gave me tremendous growth — now I understand how to create more beautiful and thoughtful shots.”

Sveta Before the Course

She studied management in the fashion industry, but at some point realized that she didn’t want to manage, she wanted to create. Photography had long attracted her, but she didn’t have a clear understanding of where to go from there. She joined the course at a time when she didn’t know what she wanted to do, but she felt that photography could become that direction. She had fears: that it wouldn’t work out, that she wouldn’t be able to handle the assignments, that she wouldn’t keep up, and that others already had experience while she was starting from scratch. Svetа studied in a group with a mentor: other people’s work was inspiring, and she felt supported. The mentor gave helpful feedback, which made her feel more confident and understand better how to move forward.

Sveta after the course

Gained a strong foundation in photography

I started to better understand lighting and composition.

The shoots became more carefully planned

I became more confident in my skills and direction of development

Elina

beginner photographer

“The course gave me confidence. It helped me understand how to speak up for myself, where to show up, and what to do to get noticed.”

Elina Before the Course

Photography was just a hobby for a long time: I photographed friends and family, but I felt like I wanted more. I lacked knowledge, structure, and an understanding of how to move forward. Elina had already attended my intensive before, after which it became clear that she needed to go deeper. There were concerns that she wouldn’t be able to keep up because of her schedule and that the results wouldn’t meet her expectations. But support from the mentor and within the group helped her get through this stage and achieve the result. In the chat, there was active communication almost every day: we discussed homework, shared results, and supported each other, which made the atmosphere very warm and motivating. Elina especially connected with the module on working with artificial light — it became clear how to work with it and which setups to use.

Elina after the course

Now calmly says: "I'm a photographer"

It has become easier to communicate with customers

Already shoots events

I found a great community and like-minded people

Sasha

experienced photographer

"If I hadn't taken the course, I would still be struggling, not knowing what to do with my life. Now I am confident in my skills and can earn money from them."

SASHA BEFORE THE COURSE

Sasha started taking photos at 16, but after a string of setbacks, she gave up photography. Later, she tried again: she watched video tutorials, did photo shoots for friends, but without proper knowledge the results were poor. Clients even posted phone photos instead of her shots. She tried to figure things out on her own, took paid retouching courses, but couldn’t master retouching. She was afraid of photo shoots, since past failures had shaken her confidence.

SASHA AFTER THE COURSE

Gained systematic knowledge and confidence in her skills

Mastered studio lighting and working with clients

Became Lera's retoucher and a mentor on the course

Now understands how to earn money with photography

Tanya

beginner photographer

"It used to seem that photography was just pressing a button. Now I understand how much knowledge and inspiration are behind it. And this is just the beginning!"

Tanya before the course

Photography had been her hobby for a long time, but she only recently decided to take it seriously. Without a professional camera and basic knowledge, it was hard to know where to start: the settings seemed confusing, and she lacked confidence. She was afraid she wouldn’t manage it, that she wouldn’t have enough creative thinking. But a strong desire to grow and a dream of finally starting to shoot for real won out. Tanya chose my course because she felt the warm and genuine approach. It was important to her not just to get information, but to feel supported — and this training gave her even more than she expected.

Tanya after the course

I gained systematic knowledge about the camera, light, and processing.

I found support and believed in my strength.

I began to see photography more deeply—as a creative and living process.

No longer postponing his dream, but confidently moving forward

Tina

amateur photographer

"Now I am happy with my results! Yes, there is still room for growth, but now I definitely know how to do it."

TINA BEFORE THE COURSE

Photography has always inspired Tina, but her photos didn’t match what she had envisioned. She lacked knowledge and practice, and it was hard to find training that would truly deliver results. Previously, she had come across courses where the material was presented in a dry, unclear, or pushy way, and the quality of the design was frustrating. Before enrolling, she wondered whether it would be worth the investment and how well the teaching style would suit her.

TINA AFTER THE COURSE

Learned to bring ideas to life on camera

Receives joy not only from the process but also from clients' reactions

Photography has become a new source of pleasure

Improved skills and photo quality

Nastya

amateur photographer

"If I hadn't taken the course, I would have given up photography a long time ago and blamed it all on 'the wrong camera' or 'the wrong hands.' But now my eyes are shining again, and I know where to go."

NASTYA BEFORE THE COURSE

Nastya was always looking for her “thing” — she had many hobbies, but none of them lasted long. While working for a company, she felt stable, but inside she increasingly longed for freedom and something of her own. She kept putting off the start for a long time: instability was scary, it seemed like it was already too late, that the “market was oversaturated,” that she wouldn’t be able to do it. She had no foundation, no understanding of how a shot is built or how light works. Photography began to truly captivate her, and for the first time she wanted not just to enjoy it, but to make it her life’s work. Nastya had long wanted to join my one-on-one course, but chose the group format instead and didn’t regret it. The live format and support within the group were important — that was exactly what gave her the feeling that “I’m not alone.”

NASTYA AFTER THE COURSE

I received not only knowledge but also real motivation to move forward.

She has become confident in handling the camera, adjusting the settings automatically now.

No longer makes excuses, an inner support has appeared

Noticing the light, colors, landscapes, and enjoying the shooting

Dasha

beginner photographer

"Now I just walk through the city, see a frame, and already know how to shoot it. Everything seems to have become brighter, because I have become more attentive to details."

DASHA BEFORE THE COURSE

Dasha decided to find an activity that would be both interesting and useful. Her attention was drawn to photography, especially against the backdrop of poorly designed Instagram accounts of her favorite cafes and venues. The idea arose: to master photography in order to help friends with visuals and maybe launch something of her own. She was most afraid that she wouldn't succeed.

DASHA AFTER THE COURSE

She has mastered the camera and confidently shoots in any situation.

I started to notice the light, composition, and interesting locations in life.

I discovered my creative side and made new acquaintances

Many ideas have emerged and the desire to implement them.

Nastya

beginner photographer

"I was going to the course for myself, and you inspired me to believe that photography can be something more. Now I have the knowledge and the desire to share it with others!"

NASTYA BEFORE THE COURSE

Nastya has loved taking photos since childhood — film cameras, point-and-shoots, DSLRs, even her phone — she tried everything. But she never really saw herself as a photographer. When she decided to take up photography seriously, she spent three months trying to figure out the settings on her own, but to no avail. She was afraid of online learning, but she took the plunge anyway and didn’t regret it. It was the lessons and feedback that finally helped her understand how to control the camera and get not just good, but truly great shots.

NASTYA AFTER THE COURSE

I figured out the camera settings and learned to shoot consciously

I found the inspiration to move forward and believed in myself as a photographer.

She is already filming with new knowledge, and there are people ready to trust her.

Sasha

professional photographer, owner of a social media marketing agency in Prague

"If I hadn't gone to the course, I would have continued to stand still, and that would be a catastrophe for me. Now I am sure that I can create really quality content for clients and develop my agency."

SASHA BEFORE THE COURSE

Sasha worked as a videographer from the age of 15, creating content for small businesses and clothing brands. After moving to Prague, she focused on her studies, but then returned to SMM and switched from video to photography. She was concerned that for some clients she lacked knowledge of studio lighting. She took other courses, but they didn’t provide specific solutions. Sasha chose to study with me because she related to my style — natural, lively photos, high-quality retouching without the over-smoothed look. She expected clear, high-quality information without fluff and the opportunity to learn how to shoot with studio lighting.

SASHA AFTER THE COURSE

Significantly improved the quality of the photos, clients immediately noticed the difference.

Feels confident both with a camera and a phone, understands how to implement references.

Mastered studio lighting and now confidently creates content for brands.

Now she's sure that her work is really worth its money; she was able to raise the prices for her services.

Kristina

beginner photographer

"After practice in the studio, I feel like a star. I never expected such a result from myself!"

KRISTINA BEFORE THE COURSE

Kristina worked as a manicure specialist for 8 years, but she had long dreamed of changing professions. She had always been drawn to photography, but never delved into it, never studied camera settings, and shot in automatic mode. She had been meaning to take a course for ten years, but never dared. She was held back by fear of the unknown and doubts about whether she would succeed. The first lessons on camera settings were difficult, but once she gave herself time, everything became easier.

KRISTINA AFTER THE COURSE

The vision has completely changed, she started to notice the beauty in the details.

Feels confident after practice in the studio

Looking at her photos and not believing that she took them herself.

Fulfilled a dream that she had been pursuing for 10 years.

Sophia

“Now I know how to position a model in the frame to best advantage. I’ve developed a color style and a direction for my photos!”

Albina

beginner photographer

Elina

beginner photographer

Sasha

experienced photographer

Tina

amateur photographer

Nastya

amateur photographer

Sophia

beginner photographer

“The course gave me much more than I expected: knowledge, experience, a community, and the confidence that everything will work out.”

Sofia Before the Course

Several years ago, she moved to Spain and started looking for something she would truly enjoy. That’s how photography came into her life. At first, there were concert shoots, events, engagements, and personal photo sessions, but it quickly became clear: without a strong foundation, it’s hard to keep growing. In practice, there were constant gaps. Before the course, she also had a negative experience: one-on-one consultations with photographers that were expensive but provided almost no value or support after the calls. The training took place in a group with mentor Sasha. Despite the fear that there wouldn’t be enough time or motivation to balance the course with university and work, the opposite turned out to be true — thanks to the support of the group, she wanted to do even more. The atmosphere was so warm that the women continued to stay in touch even after the course ended. The homework assignments left a particularly strong impression: it was thanks to them that theory was immediately turned into real skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a camera?

Yes, a camera will be needed for course already during the first module. The camera can be any, mirror or mirrorless, it doesn't matter how new or old it is. The first practical homework will be assigned already after the second lesson. But the camera can be purchased after the third lesson, where we will be going through types of cameras and lenses, and the deadlines will allow for that. If you don't have a camera yet and don't know how to choose one, wait for lesson 3 to come out and purchase a camera after it, having gained knowledge on this topic first.

Which laptop is suitable?

For training, you will need any laptop that is capable of running Lightroom and Photoshop without significant delays. A laptop will be necessary from the very beginning of the training for minor tasks (such as transferring files from the camera to the laptop, creating a Word or PDF file, etc.), and starting from the fourth module it will be needed for photo editing.

How much time will need to be devoted to studying?

On average, each lesson lasts 30–60 minutes, and new materials are released 2–3 times a week. In addition to watching lessons, time will be needed for completing homework — the volume depends on the topic, but on average it’s another 2–6 hours a week. All materials remain available throughout the course and for another 3/6/12 months after its completion, so you can go through them at your own pace.

Will there be homework?

Yes, there will be a lot of homework. The course program is hands-on and involves completing assignments to reinforce key skills and receive feedback on them from the curator or Lera (depending on the plan).
